Day 1:
This morning, we will drive to Pretoria, South Africa's administrative capital. Enjoy a city tour including stops at Paul Kruger's house and the Voortrekker Monument and Museum which commemorate the Afrikaner pioneers who trekked from the Cape in
the 1830s to escape British Domination. Lunch will be en route to the town of Cullinan where we will visit the famous mine which, in 1905, yielded the world's largest diamond – 3,106 carats. Return to Pretoria for the night.

Day 2:
Today drive via Dullstroom and Lydenburg to Pilgrim's Rest for lunch. Explore the town, now a national monument, in which gold was discovered in 1874. Continue along the dramatic Eastern Escarpment of the Drakensberg (“Dragon Mountains”). Visit Bourke's Luck Potholes and the Blyde River Canyon for spectacular views of the Blydepoort Dam and the Three Rondavels. Arrive at
our overnight accommodation in time for refreshments and a game drive in search of the “Big Five” – lion, leopard, Cape buffalo, rhino and elephant.

Day 3:
After coffee and rusks, take an early morning bush walk and game drive, followed by breakfast. Visit the Moholoholo Wildlife Centre and learn about its rehabilitation programme. After lunch, transfer to our private lodge where we will stay for the next two nights. Enjoy an evening game drive in search of Africa's unique wildlife, followed by dinner under the stars.

Day 4:
At first light, search for wildlife on a game drive and bush walk. The remainder of the day will be spent relaxing in the bush. Take an evening drive in search of the Big Five. Return to a traditional African dinner served in the boma.

Day 5:
After an early morning game drive or bush walk, followed by breakfast, we will visit the Hoedspruit Research and Breeding Centre for Endangered Species. We will learn about the various breeding projects that are underway at this reserve including those for cheetah, wild dog and the ground hornbill.
Lunch will be en route after which we will transfer to our private lodge in time for an evening game drive. Return to the lodge and settle by the fire for dinner.

Day 6:
This morning we enter Kruger National Park, South Africa's largest national park and unquestionably one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in the world. It is recognized as the world's leader in African fauna and flora research and in environmental management. The day will be spent exploring the Park and searching for the great variety of wildlife that Kruger has to offer. An optional night drive is available.

Day 7:
Return to Johannesburg International Airport for your flight to Port Elizabeth. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 8:
Travel along the “Garden Route”, a stretch of coastline encompassing mountains, rivers, lagoons, lakes, beaches, and the
indigenous forests of the Tsitsikamma National Park. We will stop briefly at Storms River and Plettenberg Bay en route. Arrive in Knysna in time to relax before our sundowner cruise on the tidal lagoon. It is one of South Africa's largest estuaries and is also the country's major oyster-farming centre.

Day 9:
This morning we will drive to Oudtshoorn and tour an ostrich farm. Learn about the various stages of the bird's development, handle the eggs and visit an ostrich pen. The adventurous may even ride an ostrich! Lunch will be provided at the Farm and we will then visit the magnificent Cango Caves, set deep in the foothills of the Swartberg Range.

Day 10:
Visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch which ranks among the leading cheetah breeders in Africa. Visitors may enter a special area to interact with cheetah. Travel via Route 62 through the Little Karoo.
We will pass through the orchard villages of Ladysmith and Barrydale, stopping for lunch along the way, and arrive in the afternoon at the Cape winelands, a scenic region of lofty mountains and fertile valleys. Stay overnight at a wine estate in the Stellenbosch area. Choose one of South Africa's finest wines to complement your dinner this evening.

Day 11:
Tour a winery, sampling some of the great wines for which this area is famous. The climate and variable soil conditions ensure a wide range of excellent wines, making South Africa the world's seventh-largest producer. We will then drive to Cape Town where, weather permitting, we will ride the cable car to the top of Table Mountain. Tour the city and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Accommodation for the next three nights is on Cape Town's historic Waterfront.

Day 12:
The morning and early afternoon are at leisure. Explore the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. Originally the oldest part of Cape Town's harbour, it has been upgraded and developed into an area of
shops, craft markets, up-market hotels, pubs and restaurants. Sit outside at a quayside table and enjoy the daily workings of the harbour and the entertainment offered by street artists and buskers. An optional visit to the nearby Two-Oceans Aquarium is recommended and an optional tour of Robben Island is also available. Weather permitting, we will cruise offshore on an ocean-going catamaran and have dinner on board.

Day 13:
Today we will drive to the Cape of Good Hope National Park and Cape Point via the picturesque towns of St. James, Fish Hoek and Simon's Town. On the way, we will stop at Boulders Beach to see the colony of African Penguins. Enjoy lunch in the Two Oceans restaurant looking out over False Bay before returning to Cape Town. The remainder of the day is at leisure until we meet for dinner.

Day 14:
Visit the Castle of Good Hope this morning. Built between 1666-1679, it is the country's oldest colonial structure and this stone-walled fort retains its military tradition by serving as the Western Cape's army headquarters. After lunch, take a shopping excursion to the Century City Mall. Return to the hotel to freshen up, finish packing and transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your flight home.
