Game Parks, Swaziland and Kwa-Zulu Natal Day 1: Transfer from Johannesburg International Airport or your hotel to Sun City. Enjoy a walking tour of this resort complex and have lunch at one of the many restaurants. This afternoon, enter Pilanesberg National Park and on the way to your overnight lodge, search for the Big Five. An optional night drive is available. Overnight : Pilanesberg National Park DBB Day 2: Spend some time searching for more wildlife before driving to Pretoria, South Africa's administrative capital. Enjoy a city tour including the Voortrekker Monument and Museum and Paul Kruger's House. Travel to the town of Cullinan for a tour of the famous diamond mine. Return to Pretoria for dinner and a cultural presentation. Overnight : Pretoria DBB Day 3: After an early start, drive via Dullstroom and Lydenburg to Pilgrim's Rest for lunch. Continue along the dramatic Eastern Escarpment of the Drakensberg ("Dragon Mountains"). Visit God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, the Blyde River Canyon and the Three Rondavels. Arrive in time for refreshments, followed by a game drive and dinner. Overnight : Private Game Lodge DBB Day 4: Take an early morning bush walk, followed by a leisurely breakfast. Visit the Moholoholo Wildlife Centre and transfer after lunch to our accommodation for the next two nights. Enjoy an evening game drive and dinner under the stars. Overnight : Private Game Lodge DBB Day 5: Take an early morning game drive or bush walk. The remainder of the day is spent relaxing in the African bush. Take an evening drive in search of the Big Five. Overnight : Private Game Lodge LDBB Day 6: After an early morning game drive or bush walk we will visit the Hoedspruit Research and Breeding Centre for Endangered Species. After lunch, transfer to our private lodge in time for a night drive in search of more of Africa's unique wildlife. Overnight : Private Game Lodge DBB Day 7: This morning we enter Kruger National Park, South Africa's largest national park. Spend the day in search of the great variety of wildlife that Kruger has to offer. An optional night drive is available. Overnight : Kruger Camp DBB Day 8: Leave Kruger National Park and enter Swaziland at the Jeppes Reef Border Post. Overnight is in the picturesque highlands of the Kingdom. Overnight : Piggs Peak DBB Day 9: Explore Swaziland today, also visiting the Ngwenya Glass Factory, craft markets and a cultural village. Accommodation tonight is in the beautiful Ezulwini Valley. Overnight : Ezulwini Valley DBB Day 10: Continue through Swaziland stopping at the Swazi Candle Factory. Re-enter South Africa at the border post of Golela and proceed through KwaZulu-Natal to our lodge on the shore of Lake St. Lucia. Overnight : Hluhluwe DBB Day 11: Take a sunrise cruise down the Hluhluwe River and into Lake St. Lucia. Return to the lodge for breakfast and then take a game drive in an open 4x4 vehicle in the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi National Park. Overnight : Hluhluwe DBB Day 12: Visit a Cultural Village. Learn the history of the Zulu people and see demonstrations of traditional skills, dances and music. Continue on to our accommodation in Umhlanga Rocks, a pretty resort town to the north of Durban. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight : Umhlanga Rocks DBB Day 13: Today we tour the city of Durban and the surrounding area with time available for shopping in the many craft markets. Overnight : Umhlanga Rocks DBB Day 14: Return to Johannesburg in good time to catch your international flight or return to your other accommodation.
