The Panorama Route: A scenic add on to The Greater Kruger Safaris
When you’re exploring a country there are few things better than stopping at a viewpoint and being rewarded with the kind of scenery that brightens your day and broadens your horizons. On the Panorama Route in Mpumalanga, every viewpoint gives you that opportunity.
This is an excellent 2 day add on to any of the Greater Kruger Safari options. Overnight in the small town of Graskop in Mpumalanga province, South Africa. It was set up in the 1880s as a gold mining camp but it now serves mainly as a tourist destination.
The translation for the Afrikaans name Graskop is ‘grassy peak’. Spend your last night at one of the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre’s camps and visit the centre which is home to many of South Africa’s abandoned, injured and poisoned wildlife and a highly regarded contributor to wildlife education in our country.
View Lion, Leopard, Serval, Lynx, Honey Badger, Eagles, Vultures, Wild Dogs and any baby animals that they may have at the time of your visit.
